We are looking for a skilled TIG Welder to join metals and other materials at our facility. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together parts with a great deal of precision. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential. Experience in other areas of sheet metal fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

This is for a full-time position on first or second shift. Both shifts run on a compressed, four day, work week. First shift is 6:00am – 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday and second shift is 2:00pm – 12:30am, Monday through Thursday.

We serve a variety of industries, making enclosures and components for the energy, robotics, lab and semiconductor markets, among others. We have a modern facility located within 20 minutes of Lowell, Leominster or Marlborough. Pay: $20.00 + based on work experience.

Entry to experienced level shop help needed to assist our company growth. Must know how to work safely in a shop environment. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn is important. Candidates will work in various areas of the shop operating hand tools, inserting hardware, grinding and deburring parts, and supporting more experienced employees.
