Murner Brings 30+ Years of Building Sales Success with Customer-Centric Solutions

LITTLETON, Mass. (June 1st, 2015)ETM Manufacturing has named Christine Murner, a 30+-year veteran of manufacturing as its first vice-president of sales and marketing. The company has hired Murner to work with existing and new customers to identify solutions based on their needs, accelerate growth in core markets and expand opportunities.

The executive-level role is a new one for the company, which has continued to invest in capacity and solutions expansion in spite of the sluggish economy.  As vice president of sales and marketing, Murner will oversee the strategy and management of customer service, sales and marketing efforts.  Reporting to company president, Rob Olney, Murner brings deep domain expertise, honed by nearly 20 years of experience at GE, in developing and executing sales strategies that consistently drive growth.

“We’re bullish on the opportunity for growth in our market and how we’re positioned to deliver the products and services that customers need,” said Olney. “Christine’s proven-track record in developing solutions designed to reflect customer needs in current and emerging markets and her manufacturing know-how all combine to be the perfect fit for us.”

Murner joins ETM from Test Devices, Inc. where, as VP-Sales and Marketing, she transformed the company’s sales process to increase pipeline and close ratios, resulting in a 60 percent increase in revenue in a highly competitive and commoditized market. Prior to Test Devices, Murner was at GE Aerospace and GE Plastics where she played critical roles in a wide range of growth strategies, including new product introduction, market expansion, and more. Her experience in working with engineering and production teams to ensure that solutions meet customer and market needs from launch provides a unique advantage as ETM grows through customer-centric solutions sales.

“ETM has all the components needed to break out from a competitive and undifferentiated market,” said Murner. “Its laser-focus on serving customers, lean manufacturing practice and innovative approach to developing new products are the perfect formula for growing enterprise value and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
