ETM Manufacturing Views 2014 with Optimism

Big Picture Trends Favor Industry and Local Company

LITTLETON, Mass. (January 8th, 2014) — ETM Manufacturing’s CEO Rob Olney says that the volatility and uncertainty of the past few years has taught him to look at the bigger picture when it comes to gleaning how best to position his company to navigate whatever comes. It’s worked:  the sheet metal fabricator’s year-over-year growth rates have landed it on the Inc. 500|5000 for the past three consecutive years.

How does Olney see 2014 shaping up for the sheet-metal manufacturer and his customers?  He’s bullish on the opportunities ahead and sees three macro-trends working in his favor. Looking at President Obama’s second term, record-breaking stock market performance and cash-rich corporations, Olney predicts greater demand, larger purchase orders and new opportunities to engage with start-ups.  To read more on how Olney sees these influences playing out, read his inaugural blog post.

“Working on the day-to-day leaves little time to think about what’s happening in the bigger picture, so the predictions at the beginning of each year are always a good reminder to stop, look and reflect,” said Olney. “We might feel far removed from political history  or market trends, but there are implications for us—and with just a little reflection we can make those factors work for us.”

Trusted by dozens of New England manufacturers for custom, quality sheet metal fabrication, machining and assembly solutions, ETM helps customers lower the total landed cost of delivering products with innovation and accelerated ramps to production.
